Antiso is a fact-based tracker of the democratic socialist movement in American politics. We maintain profiles of the movement's officeholders and candidates, follow every race with a democratic socialist on the ballot, and report results as they are called. Where a partisan outlet argues, we index.
No stance
Antiso does not endorse candidates, promote an ideology, or argue for or against democratic socialism. A profile on this site is a record, not a recommendation. Descriptions state what a figure is known for, what has happened in their races, and where they sit in the movement — sourced from the public record and corrected when the record changes.
No ads
Antiso accepts no advertising and no sponsored content. Nothing on this site is placed, paid for, or shaped by a commercial relationship, which means no advertiser can lean on what we publish.
Ideology labels
Every profile carries one of three labels — nominal, moderate, or radical — describing where a figure's public politics sit relative to the rest of the tracked cohort. Nominal marks those who use the democratic socialist label but campaign and govern on an otherwise conventional progressive program. Moderate marks open movement identification carried by a social-democratic program of expanded public provision. Radical marks the cohort's furthest-left flank, whose platforms carry the movement's maximal demands — public ownership, abolition planks, movement-cadre politics. The labels compare figures to one another, not to a fixed doctrine; they describe position, not merit; each profile documents the record behind its label; and labels are revisited as records change.
Standards
- Accuracy before speed. Corrections ship within 24 hours of verification and are noted on the piece.
- The record, attributed. Claims about candidates trace to public sources; reported allegations carry the subject's response where one exists.
- Labels are earned. A figure appears here only where democratic socialist identification is self-declared or organizationally documented — never inferred.
- Right of response. Anyone profiled on Antiso can respond through the desk; germane replies are appended to the profile.
- Disclosure. Drafts are produced with AI assistance under human editorial direction and review. The editor of record answers for every published word.
